The Fast Track Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Self-Defense Program

The Fast Track Summer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Self-Defense Program is our beginner program for Juniors ages 10-12 years old and for Teens ages 13-15 years old. In this 6 week intensive program your child will learn one of the most powerful and proven self-defense systems in the world. Children will be active, get in great shape, and burn fat all while learning a valuable life-saving skill.


In this BJJ & Self-Defense Program Students will Learn: 


  • How to save or protect themselves when falling on your: head, back, side, etc. 
  • How to protect themselves from getting punched, kicked, knee/elbow strikes, and head butted. 
  • How to measure a safe distance to keep between themselves & the “Bad Guy” 
  • How to take the fight to the ground while maintaining a dominant position 
  • Learn the anatomy of the body including the different pressure points and areas of weakness 
  • Learn about the different joints and how to manipulate them in a way to their advantage 
  • How to be in control while on top of the “Bad Guy” and how to escape when on the bottom

Safety is our #1 priority. We have safety protocols in place and our students look out for each other. We nurture a friendly, team-centered environment. Learn with a group of beginners just like yourself!

About the Instructor:

Rosaldo ’Zol’ Abastillas first became interested in the Martial Arts at the age of 15 when he began training in several different disciplines. It wasn’t until 2009 that he decided to turn his main focus to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Upon his research for Jiu Jitsu schools in the South Bay area, Zol came across “South Bay Jiu Jitsu” where classes were taught by 5th degree Black Belt and Legend, Bob Bass. Zol started taking classes here, two, sometimes even three times a day and quickly came to realize that Jiu-Jitsu (literal meaning: the gentle art) was his true passion. As Jiu Jitsu continues to evolve, Zol continues to practice his skills and create new techniques at South Bay Jiu Jitsu, where he takes pride in teaching the only martial art that offers techniques for the smaller person to use to effectively defend oneself against a larger, much stronger opponent/attacker. Zol is very proud to share his knowledge with everyone here knowing that it may save a life one day.
